Converted Necron Lord is finished.

o/

Just a quick post this go round.

Amidst the painting of Astral Claws that I've started up on whilst being sick last weekend (still have a lingering friggin' cough, grumble, grumble...) I managed to finish up my Necron Lord. As stated previously, its a converted Triarch Praetorian, with a Res Orb on a wrist mount, and a converted Gauntlet of Fire.

I've dubbed him/her/it: 'Cyclops'.
My GF will give the allied 'Cron contingent a try this weekend when my Orks take to the field after last weekend's cancelled game. Rather than start in reserve, only to fail to show up in a timely manner (as the 'Crons did when i tried em out), they'll most likely deploy with the Orks. Especially as Orks make LOTS of noise, and no doubt will have woken the grumpy old guys up earlier than the Fem Fa'Tau did in the previous game...lol.

I must confess, this turned out looking quite bad-ass! So much so that I'm not even gonna joke about his blue-balls. :) Well done sir!

lol, I hadn't even pondered that one (but will no doubt hear it repeated in the future), thanks though!

You seem to favor metallics lately. I'm surprised to see you of all people with Necrons... what with your flagerant distaste of them, but looks good none the less.

Thanks! I suppose you're right and I am, especially considering the handful of Astral Claws I've painted over the past week or so.

As I said previously, I had crons several years ago, and have been pondering them for awhile. However (and you are also correct here) there is a hellova lot that I don't like about the new rules/models! So for me an allied contingent of just under a dozen models works fine. Amy on the other hand might just want to go the army route with them, dunno guess we'll have to see...

As you may remember, or not, I played them back in 5th. I had a bunch of options out of their current codex, but usually ran big blocks of troops and lords. I enjoyed playing them, and had a bit of fun with them. Plus they were the easiest army I had to transport: 2 reaper bags + books. I'm kinda sorry I sold them. Portable... and all painted. A fully painted army... a rare thing for me indeed. :)

Yes I recall seeing your army a time or two, never played against it though.
